How to Use TechLeads.fyi

A practical guide to finding companies by technology stack, exporting leads, and getting the most out of your searches.

1. What is TechLeads?

TechLeads is a lead generation platform that lets you search 120M+ business websites by the technologies they use. If you want to find every online store running Shopify, every SaaS company using HubSpot, or every website built with WordPress in Germany — TechLeads does that.

For each website, you get: company name, emails, phone numbers, social profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), industry, country, and the full list of detected technologies.

2. Getting Started

After signing up, go to your Dashboard. You will see a search panel on the left sidebar with filters, and the results grid on the right.

Pick a technology from the dropdown (e.g. Shopify, WordPress, React)
Optionally add keywords, industry, TLDs, or exclusions
Click "Search Leads" to run the search
Browse results in the grid, then export as CSV or XLSX

You need at least one of: a technology, a keyword, or an industry to run a search.

3. Search Filters Explained

FilterWhat it doesExample
TechnologyFilter by detected technology (CMS, analytics, framework, etc.)Shopify, WordPress, HubSpot, React
KeywordsSearch website titles, descriptions, and metadatajewellery, SaaS, organic food
Keyword ModeControl how keywords are matchedAll, Phrase, Words, Any
TLDsFilter by domain extension for geography or type.com, .co.uk, .de, .io
ExclusionsRemove specific domains or keywords from resultstest, example.com, competitor.io

4. Keyword Search Tips

Keywords search through website titles, descriptions, and metadata. How you write your keyword matters a lot.

Example: Shopify + Jewellery

✓ Shopify + keyword: Jewellery → 12,400+ results

✗ Shopify + keyword: Jewelery → 206 results (misspelling)

The keyword mode changes how the search works:

ModeBehaviorExample
All (default)All words must appear somewhere on the pageorganic skincare matches pages with both words
PhraseWords must appear together as an exact phrasedisc golf only matches "disc golf" not "golf disc"
WordsWhole words only (no partial matching)pet matches "pet" but not "carpet"
AnyAny word can match (broadest search)yoga meditation matches pages with yoga OR meditation

Tip: Start with All mode for most searches. Use Phrase when you need an exact match (e.g. brand names, specific product types). Use Any to cast a wider net.

5. TLD and Country Filtering

TLDs (Top Level Domains) let you target websites by their domain extension. This is one of the most effective ways to narrow results by geography or website type.

GoalTLD filterExample result
Only US/international commercial sites.comexample.com
UK businesses.co.ukshop.co.uk
Indian market.in or .co.instore.co.in
Tech/startup companies.io or .aitool.io, product.ai
German market.deladen.de

You can select multiple TLDs at once. You can also type a custom TLD if it is not in the list.

Tip: Combine TLDs with technology + keyword for highly targeted lists. For example: Shopify + "jewellery" + .co.uk gives you UK jewellery stores on Shopify.

6. Reading Your Results

The results grid shows one row per website. Each row includes:

  • Domain — the website URL (with favicon)
  • Title & Description — what the website says about itself
  • Company — detected company name
  • Industry — auto-detected industry category
  • Emails & Phones — contact information found on the site
  • Country — where the company is based
  • Social profiles — LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, GitHub, TikTok

Use the column manager (gear icon) to show/hide or reorder columns. You can paginate through results with 25, 50, 100, or 250 rows per page.

7. Exporting Data

There are two ways to get your data out:

a) Export from Dashboard

Click the Export button in the dashboard toolbar. Choose:

  • Format — CSV or XLSX (Excel)
  • Scope — Selected rows only, or all results
  • Columns — Pick which fields to include

For large exports, the file is generated in the background and a download link is sent to your email when ready.

b) Sample Dataset via Email

On any /technology page, enter your email and we will send you a direct download link for the sample CSV file. This includes domains, emails, phone numbers, and social profiles for websites using that technology.

Tip: Export is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Free users can view results in the dashboard but need to upgrade to download.

8. AI Batch Analysis

Select rows in the results grid and click "AI Analysis". Enter a question in natural language and TechLeads will analyze each selected domain using AI.

Example prompts:

  • "What is the annual revenue?"
  • "Find decision maker email addresses"
  • "Get pricing details and plans"
  • "Find Glassdoor reviews and ratings"

Results appear as new columns in your grid — revenue, pricing, contact names, etc. Each analysis uses credits from your plan allowance (50 credits per month on all plans).

10. Tips for Best Results

1

Spell keywords correctly

'Jewellery' returns 12,400+ results; 'Jewelery' returns 206. Always double-check spelling.

2

Use TLD filters for geographic targeting

Adding .de to your search limits results to German websites. Combine with .co.uk for UK, .com.au for Australia, etc.

3

Use exclusions to clean results

Exclude domains like 'test', 'example', or competitor domains to get cleaner lead lists.

4

Combine technology + keyword for precision

'Shopify + jewellery + .com' is much more targeted than just 'Shopify' alone.

5

Save your best queries

Click 'Save Query' in the sidebar to store filter combinations you use often.

6

Share search URLs

Click the Share button to copy a URL with all your filters pre-filled. Send it to teammates.

7

Use keyword modes wisely

'Phrase' mode for brand names and exact terms. 'Any' mode when you want broader coverage.

11. Cached Enrichment & Technologies

On the dashboard, we show previously enriched data and technologies for domains you’ve already looked up. Cache lasts 30 days.
