How to build your first lead list

Short answer

Pick one technology, narrow with filters, review a sample, export 100–300 companies, clean the list, then write simple personalized outreach.

Step 1: One technology

Pick a signal — Shopify, HubSpot, Klaviyo, etc.

Step 2: Narrow your ICP

Example: "Shopify fashion stores in India" beats "ecommerce leads."

Step 3: Review a sample

Check relevance before a large export.

Step 4: Export and clean

Remove obvious non-fits. Add notes for outreach angles.

Step 5: Simple outreach
